How the process works
Step 1 | Contact us
The first thing you need to do is contact us. Our contact details can be found on our contact page.
We need to know the following in your enquiry:
-
What service you require
-
Breed of dog?
-
Age & Gender?
-
Are they Spayed/Neutered?
-
Any behavioural issues eg: reactivity towards other dogs, humans etc?
-
Are they fully vaccinated and upto date with flea and worming tablets?
-
General behaviours?
-
If requesting boarding, please let us know your dates.
-
If requesting daycare, please let us know how many days you would like each week.
Step 2 | Meet&Greet
If during the inital contact stage in step one seems to be ok with us, we will then arrange a meet and greet with you. This will be where you come to our property if it is for Daycare or Boarding so we can assess your dog and for you to have a look at our setup. We will ask a few more questions about your dog and will then introduce our own dogs to be sure they all get along.
We also must see an up to date vaccination card before any meet and greet can be booked.
If for any reason, we feel that your dog would not settle with us or our dogs do not take to yours, the meet and greet will be terminated and no further action will be taken.
If you have enquired for walks, pet sitting etc, we will come to your home.
Step 3 | A Successful Meet & Greet
If the meet and greet has gone well and we are all happy, an email will be sent over with our booking form on. This form is quite lengthy, however as a licenced daycare & home boarder, questions on this form are legally required. If you do not get a form from other home daycare and or boarders, they most certainly will not be licensed. This form asks for all details relating to your dog incuding isurance details, emergency contact details, owners details, vetinary details, proof of vaccinations and much much more. This is so we are able to have much more in depth detail about your dog.
When the booking form is submitted, we will then check through the form to ensure that all vaccinations are fully up to date including Kennel Cough and check through your answers. From this, a trial will be arranged if everything is in order on your form.
For pet sitting, walks etc, we will fill in the shorter form with you and arrange for either the first walk to take place or book in the dates for your pet sit.
Step 4 | Trial - Only for Daycare & Boarding
On the day of the trial, we will be monitoring your dog closely with its interactions with the other dogs in daycare and or boarding at the time. We ask that you bring the following with you for the trial:
-
Harness and Lead.
-
Ensure your dog has an upto date ID collar.
-
Food which we request is bagged up in the amounts required ready for us to put into bowls.
-
Any treats in which can be given.
-
Any toys or blankets that your dog sleeps with or plays with. Something with a smell on from home is good as it can help settle your dogs when it is time for rest.
-
Any medication with clear instructions on when and how much to give.
Whilst your dog is in our care, we will document their trial which is something we have to do being licensed. We document their behaviours, if they eat and drink ok, if they have no issues with going to the toilet and more. If the trial is a fail, this document is deleted as we are only required to keep the documentation of those dogs who have passed.
The trial times are:
Boarding - 8am-9am drop off - 8am-9am pick up the following morning
Daycare - 8am-9am drop off and collect by 6pm
If a trial is failed, there will be no refund as we have ensured we have saved a space for your dog on our license.
Step 5 | After a successful trial
If the trial was successful, we will then offer the dates you have asked for, whether this be a regular space each week for daycare or home boarding. An invoice will be sent for your non-refundable boarding deposit of 50% where the balance will be due no later than 28 days before the start date of the boarding.
If it is daycare you have selected, an invoice will be sent for the remainder of the month and invoices will then be sent on the 21st of each month for payment by the 27th
