Dog Walker & Pet Sitter – Self-Employed (Wavy Tails Dog Care)
Location: Kirklees & Surrounding Areas
Rate: Up to £90 per hour (group walks), £20 per solo walk + pet sitting rates

Wavy Tails Dog Care is expanding! We’re looking for an experienced, reliable, and passionate animal lover to join our growing team as a self-employed Dog Walker & Pet Sitter.

​

You’ll be responsible for:

​

• Providing safe and stimulating 1-hour walks (solo or group, up to 6 dogs)

• Conducting meet-and-greets and assessing dogs’ temperaments

• Pet sitting in clients' homes (additional income potential)

• Managing your own flexible schedule and walking rounds

​

Requirements:

​

• Experience handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and behaviours

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance is a must

• Public liability insurance, canine first aid certification, DBS check (support provided)

• Self-employed status (guidance and accountant details can be provided)

• Strong communication and professionalism

• At least 3 years experience handling dogs and other pets.

You’ll receive ongoing support from Wavy Tails, including client referrals, advertising, and admin help (invoicing & payments). You’ll earn 85% of your monthly income, with flexible hours and room to grow your services.
